2013 Wilson Challenge Preview: Explosive Monstars

As the under-15 competition begins today at the 2013 Wilson Challenge, there is one team that hoped their explosive style of play will be enough to unseat defending two-time champions Rive-Sud.

The Montreal Monstars come into this tournament armed with a couple of key goals they would like to achieve in St.Leonard.

“Our goal for this tournament is for our players is to perform at high level and to come out from this tournament with a very good experience,” explained Monstars head coach Jesse Blizzard.

Both the offensive and defensive units are expected to be dynamic.

“We can expect from the Monstars on the field a strong running attack on offense and a very physical defensive unit,” added Blizzard.  “You have to pay attention to the whole team, because it is an elite squad.”

The quarterbacks for the Monstars are Chad Dikeacos, Jonathan Senecal, and Jack Zergiotis.

Today, the Monstars will open the tournament as the team battles Laval-Laurentides-Lanaudiere at Herbert Stadium.  Kickoff is 10:00am.
