We have now completed a full week of practices in London, Ontario and have now had 5 days of practices in Graz, Austria. Today we have a walk-thru practice in our final preparation for our game tomorrow night against France.

We do not know much about our opponent, but we know that France will be well prepared and ready to go. We need to execute at a very high level in all 3 phases of the game.

We are about to play 4 games in a week, so the coaches have been emphasizing the importance of rest and hydration. The temperature has been steadily in the 30’s the whole week. The other nations, except us and the United States, are use to playing this many games in this short period of time. It is all new to us, but we can not use this as an excuse. We have prepared extremely well over the last 2 weeks and we are anxiously awaiting kick-off.

Off the field we have enjoyed the Austrian food and culture and have spent sometime walking through downtown Graz as a team.

I will report back after our first game tomorrow night against France.

Go Canada!!!
