Day 1: Senior Team Canada

We have been victorious in our first 2 games as a nation in the World Football Championships and there is no time to celebrate. We face a tough 2-0 Japan team tomorrow, to decide who will play for Gold in Vienna, on July 16th.

Last nights game was one of the most physical games I have ever been apart of. There were 5,000 fans in attendance and there was also loud crowd noise being pumped into the stadium, over the loud speakers when we were on offence. I have been to many NFL games with 80,000 fans and trust me they weren’t as loud as last nights game.

We have today to prepare for a well coached Japanese team that is very technically sound. They are not as big and physical as our team, but they are quick and fundamentally sound in every aspect of the game.

We know we have the talent to win Gold and we are 2 more wins away from that being a reality.
