It’s that time of year again, the Toronto Indoor Tackle football league is about to get underway in it’s 5th season. The TiTFL is the premier indoor football league in Canada and will be getting their season underway January 28th. All games will be played at “The Hangar” at Downsview park on Saturday nights from 7pm until 10pm. The TITFL has grown over the years to provide an opportunity for players (ages 19-40) to continue playing throughout the winter and has helped a few members move on to not only CIS programs but onto the CFL or just to provide some recreation for those that have finished playing HS or CIS football. 2012 also sees the TiTFL growing even larger…. Partnering with the Western Pennsylvania Indoor Football League to create the North American Indoor Football Association and will see the first annual North American Championship played this spring in Pittsburgh, PA.

The TiTFL plays a unique brand of 7on 7 football which provides a fast-pace, quick hitting game.

Some basic rules are:
- 7 players a side (must have 3 OL, 1 which declares as TE and can catch passes)
- 4 downs to reach half field for a first down and 4 more to score
- No kicking game… teams start possessions at their own 5 yd
- teams can opt to advance the ball 25 yds on 4th and turn it over or go for it

For those interested in playing, the TiTFL will be hosting a free-agent workout & scrimmage on January 7th at the Hangar from 7pm until 9pm. This is a great way to learn about the game and come out meet and workout for the captains. Checkout the website or facebook for more details on this event.
