#CFC10 ONTARIO SUMMER RANKINGS – BANTAM (11): Two new teams crack the top 10!

BANTAM (UNDER 15) TOP TEN RANKINGS – WEEK 11 (previous week’s ranking in parenthesis)

1) ESSEX RAVENS (1) 8-0 (0-0) OVFL (did not play) The Ravens start the playoffs as the favourite to win the OVFL. QB Jake Heydon is arguably the best QB his age in Ontario. Next up: #10 Brampton – OVFL Adam Semifinals

2) BURLINGTON STAMPEDERS (2) 8-0 (0-0) OFC (won 43-6 vs. Sarnia) The Stampeders look like a good bet to win their FOURTH consecutive OFC crown kicking off their defense with a convincing win over Sarnia. Josh Munoz led the way scampering for 293 yards on only 16 carries. Next up: #7 Forest City – OFC South Final

3) CUMBERLAND PANTHERS (3) 8-0 (0-0) OVFL (did not play) The Panthers enjoyed the bye that went with their Wettges regular season crown and after ending the season beating Myers twice, the Panthers need to guard against a letdown. But even in the event of a letdown they should cruise against the Bucs, a team they beat 55-0 to open the season. Next up: York Simcoe – OVFL Wettges Semifinals

4) CAMBRIDGE LIONS (4) 7-1 (0-0) OVFL (did not play) For the second time in three weeks the Lions play Niagara . Next up: #10 Niagara – OVFL Adam Semifinals

5) HURONIA STALLIONS (5) 7-1 (1-0) OFC (won 58-24 vs. North Halton) The Stallions only loss in 2015 was to the Oakville Titans, they now get a chance at redemption. Next up: #9 Oakville – OFC North Final

6) OTTAWA MYERS RIDERS (6) 6-2 OVFL (did not play) The Riders will start their quest for a third shot at Cumberland, hosting Durham West to kickoff their postseason.  Next up: vs. Durham West – OVFL Wettges Semifinals

7) FOREST CITY THUNDERBIRDS (7) 6-2 (1-0) (won 36-33 @ Twin Cities) The Thunderbirds advance to the OFC South final with the three point win.  Next up: vs. Burlington – OFC South Final

8) NIAGARA SPEARS (10) 5-3 (1-0) OVFL (won 36-0 vs. London) The Spears are hoping the third time is a charm as they face Cambridge for the third time in six weeks.  Next up: @ #4 Cambridge – OVFL Adam Semifinals

9) OAKVILLE TITANS (NR) 5-3 (1-0) OFC (won 27-6 vs. Hamilton) The Titans crack the top ten, can they remain? Next up: @ #5 Huronia – OFC North Final
