#CFC50 2016 high school rankings (4): A major player out of top 10

For the seventh year in a row, Canadafootballchat.com (CFC) is pleased to bring you the national high school football rankings known as the #CFC50.

Unlike last week where there were a handful of upsets, most games went exactly as were predicted as dominant teams or the favoured teams, won their game. From #1 to #4, things remained pretty much status quo, and then Meyer moved up 1 spot in the top 10 because #8 beat #5 convincingly and this is what caused the shakeup in the top 10 for week #3.

TOP 10:

No. 1 St. Francis Browns – Francis did everything they could not to run up the score but, with the exception of the opening drive, Francis starters scored every time they snapped the ball. They had this one at 42-0 against William Aberhart.

No. 2 W.F. Herman Green Griffins – Herman stays in second spot with their win, 42-0, Essex.

No. 3 Bev Facey Falcons – With a 52-7 win against Jasper Place, the Falcons stay in third spot. We’ll see if the 3-1 Spruce Grove Panthers can topple the Facey Falcons next weekend.

No. 4 Leboldus Golden Suns – Leboldus gets a 42-14 win versus Riffel. No movement here as the Golden Suns improve their record to 3-0.

#CFC50 RANKINGS

Week 3

Week 2

Week 1

The #CFC50 rankings considers all conference and non-conference games (in Canada and the United States) while scrimmages are not evaluated (there is no such thing as an exhibition game – those are non-conference games).

How is the #CFC50 evaluated?

Leagues included in rankings: British Columbia AAA Varsity, Alberta Tier One, Saskatchewan 12-man 4A, Manitoba AAA Varsity, Ontario OFSAA Bowl AAA qualified teams, Quebec Juvenile Division 1, New Brunswick 12-man, Nova Scotia Tier 1.  The #CFC50 is a relative ranking that considers top tier leagues from all eight high school playing provinces (minimum one team represented from each province).  The CFC Scouting Bureau consists of twenty-seven CFC Reporters, CFC Scouts, and also selected local reporters and scouts who submit local ranking results on a weekly basis.  This is the seventh year that Canadafootballchat.com has ranked the top high school teams in Canada.  The CFC50 is released every Monday (other than on Holidays) at 12 noon.
