The Huron Heights Warriors have gotten into the BBQ Sauce business. A simple fundraising idea to sell BBQ Sauce has turned into nearly 1000 bottles sold in the Newmarket area. The original idea came from Coach Heath Weir when an ad in Big Kahuna’s 2016 Football Catalog caught his eye. Coach Weir says the Warriors are always looking to find fun and interesting ways to raise money and a Warriors Football BBQ Sauce was a no brainer!
Coach Weir visited www.bigkahunasauce.ca and contacted the Big Kahuna Sports Company. Two weeks later the Warriors were in the BBQ Sauce business. In less than 3 weeks of sales the Sauce is sold out! Players, parents and alumni have been very excited about the new venture and it’s created a buzz in the local community. The Warriors are the only team east of British Columbia with their own brand of BBQ Sauce. Coach Weir says they’ve had a lot of fun with it and would recommend the fundraiser to any high school teams.
