Over the course of his football career, Liam has suited up for a number of different teams. Among them include the Oakville Titans of the Ontario Football Conference (OFC), the Mississauga Warriors of the Ontario Varsity Football League (OVFL), the Streetsville Meadowvale Stallions and his high school team, and the Meadowvale Secondary Falcons.

The star defensive tackle has won many championship titles with the Warriors. As a participant of the All-Pro Football Camps, he was the best defensive lineman for two straight years. This was a special moment in Liam’s young football career.

“It would probably be the day I won my first Best Defensive Lineman award; I’ve never seen my family so excited,” adds the Falcons standout.

Speaking of his family, Liam says that his grandfather has been a positive yet motivating influence on his football career and in life.

“It’s incredible that all through my sport life he’s been such a strong presence and always tried to help out with every team,” explains Liam, who adds that his grandfather stood by him while he played soccer, T-Ball and while he experimented with hockey. “That’s the reason why I find him so inspirational; he dedicates every day to be at practice with me, and being involved in all the sports I play, on and off the field and even volunteers to bring us water bottles and fill our water.”

“Rain, snow, mud, cold weather, he’s out there just to support me and his commitment is incredible.”

On the field, he credits two coaches he was instructed by during his playing days with the Titans for the success he’s achieved thus far: Guy Buchanan, Jeff Jovanovski, and Nick Faieta.

“They are the three greatest coaches I’ve ever had, always being there for me and always telling me what I need to hear to improve at what I do or just with everyday life,” says Liam. “Coach Faieta wasn’t really a coach, but when I played for the Warriors he was really sick and if he wasn’t in the hospital he made sure he came to ever game.”

“That is the greatest amount of loyalty and determination I’ve ever seen.”

Away from the gridiron, the defensive tackle has many interests. He likes to wrestle and play rugby. Moreover, he is musically talented as he plays the piano.

When it comes to career aspirations, Liam would like to follow in his family’s footsteps and become a lawyer.

“My mom works with law enforcement, so it only seems right, plus it’s something I’m really passionate about,” comments Liam, who also speaks fluent French. “I’m always the one to try to get my point across.”

The game has taught the Falcons star leadership, problem solving and teamwork skills. He is appreciative of all that he’s learned over the course over his career.

“Football as a sport requires a lot of hard work and dedication from all aspect; I personally think it overall helps make you a better person in the long run,” adds Liam.
