Felix Lussier Roy

In 2006, Felix began his gridiron journey at the age of eight.

With the mosquito Sherbrooke Bulldogs (2009), he won several accolades while guiding the team to a Championship including Offensive Player of the Year, Championship MVP and Best Running Back honours.

The running back moved on to suit up for the Sherbrooke Barons for three seasons (2010-2012).Ā  During that time, he was named Offensive MVP (2011) and The Warrior (2012).

Recently, Felix played for the RSEQ Juvenile Division 1ā€™s Triolet Harfangs where he was Special Teams MVP (2013), Offensive MVP (2013) and Rookie of the Year (2014). Additionally, he was named RSEQ Juvenile 1ā€™s Player of the Week on September 21st, 2014.

The Harfangs standout has also received five All-Star selections during his career.

ā€œI think the most memorable football experience is winning a championship,ā€ recalls Felix of the highlight of his gridiron career.Ā  ā€œAll the work youā€™ve done pays off and itā€™s the best feeling.ā€

ā€œWith your teammates that youā€™ve learn to play with them, for me, itā€™s the most memorable football experience.ā€

In his quest to achieve further gridiron success, the Hafangs running back undergoes a rigorous training regimen throughout the year.

ā€œI train two hours a day,ā€ describes Felix.Ā  ā€œEach day of the year at school, Iā€™m in sports etude FOOTBALL.ā€

ā€œDuring the season, I have practice three times the week after school for two hours 30 minutes.ā€

As one of seven children, Felix depends on his big family as his main source of support and motivation, especially his parents and his older brother.

ā€œMy parents have shown me everything,ā€ expresses the running back.Ā  ā€œThey are the most influential people in my life.ā€

ā€œI think that when you want to reach success, you donā€™t need to get influenced, follow your own path and work for what you want.Ā  My brother also plays football so itā€™s a motivation for me to follow him as he is going to Laval University next year.ā€

Already, Felix has some ideas about his future academic and career aspirations.

ā€œIā€™m planning to be a cop,ā€ says the Harfangs standout.Ā  ā€œBut I want to play football as a professional.ā€

ā€œThatā€™s my first option and I will work for it at school and on the field.ā€

Currently, Felix is deliberating over his CEGEP options.Ā  He is considering three Division 1 programs ā€“ Champlain-Lennoxville, CNDF (Notre Dame de Foy) and Vieux-Montreal. However, a front runner has emerged from the pack.

ā€œIā€™m going to visit the schools then Iā€™m going to make my choice,ā€ offers Felix.Ā  ā€œMy brother went to the Cougars, so for the moment itā€™s my first choice.ā€

Overall, the Harfangs running back credits the game for giving him the recipe for success in all aspects of his life.

ā€œI learned to trust people,ā€ comments Felix.Ā  ā€œIn football, you need to trust you teammates to do their job and so, you can do yours.ā€

ā€œTrust is really important and it helped me in life to do the same.ā€
