Defensive back Kaelan Fyfeās career started off at the age of 10.
He has played in the National Capital Amateur Football Association (NCAFA) with the Gatineau Vikings, where he won multiple team MVP awards.
This past season, the defensive back had to play for a different NCAFA team, the Myers Riders, due to his school not having a team and the Vikings being unable to host a team for his age group.
āHowever, I had an awesome year with Myers making lots of new friends and learning lots of things from a new set of coaches,ā said Kaelan, who sees last season as a highlight.
His efforts with the Riders did not go unnoticed, as he picked up a Defensive MVP award in his first season.
Moreover, this summer he is currently playing with Selection Outaouais, a team of elites for the Outaouais region, who participate in the Spalding Cup.
āI plan on training lots by hitting the gym and getting lots of gains,ā said Kaelan of the upcoming offseason.
āThe recruitment process has just started for me and I only really have four options or so for CEGEP football as I am not as fluent in french as Iād like to be,ā explained the Rider.
After Kaelan (hopefully) plays CEGEP football, he is considering any university willing to take him so he can get an MBA and pursue a career in business.
On the field, his most influential people are almost everyone at the Gatineau Vikings organization, with a special shout out to the former president.
Kaelan also highlighted his coach, Barry Rodgers, who once told him, āno one remembers second place, so go out there and kick some ass,ā as well as giving mention to his first ever coach, Chris Arruda.
āI love football with all my heart and I hope that one day Iāll get the chance to ball out at all levels,ā added Kaelan.
Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
