Effortless transition

Abbotsford defensive back makes the move from junior to CIS level.

Tanner Hammade is moving provinces to begin his CIS career.

Recently, the 5ā€™7, 160 pound defensive back from Abbotsford, British Columbia signed with the University of Manitoba Bisons for the 2014 CWUAA season.

ā€œI chose Manitoba because of their good track record of transitioning players from the BCFC to the CIS level along with their high quality football facilities,ā€ commented Hammade of his decision.

Hammade joins to the Bisons after completing a stint with the Langley Rams of the British Columbia Football Conference (BCFC) in the Canadian Junior Football League (CJFL). Previous to the Rams, the defensive back has suited up for the WJ Mouat Hawks of the British Columbia High School Football Association (BCHSFA).
