The Canadian Centre for Ethics in Sport (CCES) announced today that Dylan Auty, a Canadian Interuniversity Sport (CIS) football player from the University of Ottawa, received a two-year sanction for an anti-doping rule violation. The violation, evading sample collection, occurred during out-of-competition testing on October 7, 2014.
In response to the CCESā notification of the violation, Mr. Auty waived his right to a hearing and accepted a sanction of two years ineligibility from sport, terminating March 4, 2017. The athlete, who resides in Inverary, Ontario, is ineligible to participate in any capacity with any sport signatory to the CADP, including training with teammates.
The CCES is an independent, national, not-for profit organization with a responsibility to administer the CADP. Under the CADP rules, the CCES announces publicly every anti-doping rule violation.
