KHAN: Top 10 performers at CIS East-West Bowl

The 2015 CFL Draft is in the books, and the dreams of many young Canadian football players being realized in their first step towards a professional career.

It is never too early to take a look at the 2016 CFL draft class with prospect stocks (excluding Canadians on NCAA teams) that were elevated after last weekend’s CIS East-West Bowl game in Montreal.

It is always a foregone conclusion that there will be a dearth of offensive linemen going early. But from this initial list that I have compiled, this could be a deep receiving draft.

Once September arrives, here are some names to remember.

10) Curtis Newton, Guelph, D.J. Lalama Manitoba: It would be hard to rank one over the other. Both are tied for this spot.  Newton showed a great knack in being a sure fire tackler. Lalama was a monster in making plays all over the field. Both of these players could be intriguing prospects as the we approach the fall season. I am curious to see what they can do to elevate their games.

Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
