Khan: Top 5 performers at 2015 Football Canada Cup

The 2015 under-18 Football Canada Cup has wrapped up, and host province, Quebec (Blue) won another gold medal. This tournament was a coming out party for a lot of young players who will garner recruiting interest from schools north and south of the border.

It was an important week for a lot of CIS coaching staffs looking to formally introduce themselves and create a recruiting relationship with the next generation of players.

From an early impression, in seven years time, I could see six to seven players who could end up playing professionally.

Here are some players to keep an eye on in the next two years in the recruiting battles.

5) Jevante Stanley, Ontario, running back (Brampton Bulldogs): Unfortunately for Ontario, they were not able to repeat as gold medal champions. But Stanley continued to build on his tournament legacy showing why he is one of the best players at his position in Canada .  There is no denying he is a very confident ball carrier, but he showed explosive ability to break open for big gains. With time, and development, Stanley has the tools to be a sought out recruit north and south of the border.

Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
