Laval shuts down Stinger offence to 25 total yards (Video & stats)


Sebastien Levesque rushed for 192 yards and a touchdown Sunday as the No. 1 Laval Rouge et Or thumped the Concordia Stingers 37-4 in Canadian university football. The Laval defence was impressive in the victory, only rendering the Stingers 25 yards of total offense.

Bruno Prud’Homme was 10-of-23 passing for 94 yards to go along with a touchdown and an interception for Laval (5-0). Patrick Lavoie caught Laval’s only TD through the air, while Christophe Normand had another score on the ground. Arnaud Gascon-Nadon returned an interception 19 yards for a Rouge et Or touchdown.

Stinger QB Reid Quest had a rough day at quarterback for the Stingers (2-3), finishing 9-of-22 passing for 51 yards and an interception. Edem Nyamadi had 39 rushing yards on 14 attempts for Concordia. The Stingers’ only points came on two Keegan Taylor singles and a safety.

Laval and Concordia combined for 30 punts, with each team kicking the ball away 15 times.
