Lively linebacker joins OUA team’s 2015 class

Jesse Brear was attracted to a team that is on the verge of making significant strides on the CIS landscape.

Recently, the 6’1, 195 pound linebacker from Lively, Ontario committed to the York Lions. Brear will join the team for the 2015 OUA season.

“I choose York because they are in a rebuild year and I would love to be a part of something great that’s coming,” explained Brear of his decision.  “The coaching staff is great and York is close to home.”

Brear completed his high school career with the Lively Hawks of the Sudbury District Secondary School Athletic Association (SDSSAA).  This past season, he racked up 200 yards on nine receptions, scored five touchdowns and registered 50 tackles.

In addition to the Hawks, the linebacker also suited up for the Sudbury Gladiators of the Ontario Football Conference (OFC).
