Local recruit signs with Carleton

Ottawa defensive back joins OUA team’s 2016 class.

The Carleton Ravens have announced the addition of Josh Earle to their football program.

Earle, the 6’1, 172 pound defensive back from Ottawa, Ontario will join the Ravens for the 2016 OUA season.

During his career, the defensive standout has suited up for both the St. Peter’s Knights of the National Capital Secondary School Athletic Association (NCSSAA) and Cumberland Panthers of the Ontario Varsity Football League (OVFL).

Additionally, Earle trains with Victor Tedondo at Gridiron Academy.

The defensive back has received numerous honours including Knights Defensive MVP as well as multiple defensive and special teams awards.

“Josh is a local product of St. Peter’s High School and someone we have recruited for a couple of years,” commented Ravens Head Coach Steve Sumarah.  “We really like his athletic ability and we are excited to work with him and watch his development both on and off the field over the next four or five years.”
