McGill lands first #CFC100 recruit (VIDEO)

CEGEP pivot becomes first #CFC100 to join RSEQ team’s 2015 class

It might be the long weekend across the nation but there is no rest for the McGill Redmen.

On Friday, the team landed a big catch and their first #CFC100.  Frederic Paquette-Perrault has committed to the team. He will join the Redmen for the 2016 RSEQ season.

This past June, Paquette-Perrault was ranked on the #CFC100 CLASS 2016 RANKINGS.

Paquette-Perrault has continually delivered when under pressure. This past November, the 6’2 205 pound pivot from Montreal, Quebec experienced a special moment in his gridiron career as he led CEGEP Division 1 team, Vieux-Montreal Spartiates to the Bol D’Or Championship victory in triple overtime against Champlain-Lennoxville Cougars.

He represented the nation as a member of Team Canada’s Junior National Squad that won a silver medal at the International Federation of American Football (IFAF) last summer in Kuwait.

He has also represented his province on national stages and guided teams to gold medals at tournaments.

The Quebec pivot began his career in the Civil AAA League with the St. Leonard Cougars at the age of nine.  After spending three seasons with the Cougars, Paquette-Perrault moved on to play with RSEQ Juvenile Division 1’s College Jean-Eudes Aigles for five years.  During his time there, he helped the Aigles win the Bol D’Or 2010 (Cadet AA Division 1 Championship).

Paquette-Perrault has been the recipient of many honours throughout his career including several Team MVP and many Camp Awards.
