Wilfrid Laurier offensive lineman Donnie McKenzie of Georgetown, Ont., has signed a contract with the Canadian Football Leagues (CFL) Toronto Argonauts, the club announced today.
McKenzie, a fourth year left guard, was an OUA All-Star for the first time in his Golden Hawk career last season as he was named to the second team.
At 6'6", 310 lbs, McKenzie has been a key member of Laurier's starting lineup in recent years, including starting eight of the teams nine games in 2011. Last season, he and the rest of the Hawks offensive line allowed just nine sacks all year long.
McKenzie will attend training camp with the Argonauts beginning in June.
