• FCCA Convention 2012: Burke Erwin talks about defense on Saturday - and how his team avg 9.3 points against


    The Football Canada Coaches Association (FCCA) is pleased to announce current Barrie North high school (Barrie, ON) Head Coach Burke Erwin is returning to the 2012 Convention to speak on Saturday. In 2012 Burke led his team to a Simcoe County AAAA championship and eventually to the semi-finals of the National Capital Bowl. In 10 regular season & playoff games his defense gave up a total of 9.3 points per game. His team has participated in the last 4 out of 5 Simcoe county championship games.

    Burke, who played 5 years at Carleton University (Defensive Line), started up the high school program at Nantyr Shores and within 3 years participated in a championship game. He then moved to Barrie North and has participated in the last 4 out of 5 Simcoe county championship games. Burke also runs a junior football development camp for grade 8, 9, & 10s called the "Simcoe county contact football camp."
