Quebec won a pair of gold medals in the women’s U16 and U18 divisions against P.E.I. (36 to 2) and Ontario (47 to 0) respectively. Manitoba captured the women’s U16 bronze medal with a 31-20 win against Saskatchewan.
On the men’s side of the draw, British Columbia captured gold in the U16 division with a 48-12 win against Alberta while Manitoba won bronze after defeating Saskatchewan 42-32. Host Nova Scotia edged Quebec 16-15 to capture the U18 men’s gold medal while Manitoba beat British Columbia 27-20 to win bronze.
The 2011 edition of the Flag Football National Championships hosted over 160 athletes representing eight provinces in Halifax. It also marked the first entry of a team from The Northwest Territories into the event.
