Twenty of the original twenty-six players on Toronto's Lingerie Football Team (Toronto Triumph) are no longer with the team. Sixteen of the members quit after worries of their well being from insufficient coaching to insufficient equipment.

The women's Lingerie Football League announced Thursday that five Canadian cities will join Toronto next year for the inaugural season of LFL Canada.

The first-ever women's international game of American football to be played on German soil will take place on Sunday, August 28, as Germany hosts Finland in the International Ladies Bowl.

The game, which is being organized by the German American football federation - American Football Verband Deutschland, AFVD - and club team the Munich Cowboys, will kickoff at 2pm (Central European Time) at the Munich Stadium in Germany.

Quebec won a pair of gold medals in the women’s U16 and U18 divisions against P.E.I. (36 to 2) and Ontario (47 to 0) respectively. Manitoba captured the women’s U16 bronze medal with a 31-20 win against Saskatchewan.

Nova Scotia hosted the Junior Canadian National Flag Championship this past weekend in Halifax. The host province won a gold medal in the U-18 male category on Monday, a thrilling 16 to 15 victory over Quebec.

HALIFAX, N.S. – The Coquitlam Falcons, representing British Columbia, have won the gold medal at the Flag Football 2011 Canadian National Championships in the male under-16 division after scoring a 48-12 victory over Team Alberta on Monday in the gold medal game held at Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
