SAINT JOHN - Canada's first national women's tackle football team to compete at an international level will have Saint John's Larry Harlow at the helm.

The inaugural competition will take place in late June or early July, with the exact dates and participating teams yet to be determined. Sweden, Finland and the United States will play for certain alongside the Canuck squad.

The Falcons scored three touchdowns as a result of interceptions in a 19-7 win over the Golden Gophers to capture the playoff title in the Corner Brook Molson Touch Football League Sunday.
