The Limestone District Grenadiers Football Club has begun its 2012 activities with pre-season drills and conditioning most Sunday nights at LCVI in Kingston.
The club, that plays a full schedule in the Ontario Varsity Football League, has announced that for the first time this season, it will field a bantam team for athletes currently in grades 7 and 8. The Varsity and Junior Varsity team have also begun workouts for any interested high school players. All three teams attract participants from as far away as Trenton/Campbellford, Brockville and Smiths Falls/Perth and currently has groups meeting in Belleville, Brockville and Gananoque in addition to the Kingston locale.
The club has ongoing registrations and encourages any interested players to visit www.gmen.ca or the complete work out schedule and further information. The club also reminds all prospects that they do not have to be invited to join any of their teams and it is not too late to get involved.
Interested bantam-aged players are particularly encouraged to visit the web site and to contact the club with any questions.
