The Stampeders hosted teams from Scarborough, Hamilton and Brampton at Nelson Stadium last Sunday and completed the third sweep in a row. The bantam and peewee teams have perfect seasons so far, and the atoms lost only their season opener. For the first time in recent memory, all three Central Ontario Minor Football League (COMFL) championship games will have a Stampeder team competing at Esther Shriner Stadium in North York November 6. Each will take on the Niagara Generals.

The Stampeders logged sweep number seven with a win against visiting Scarborough Thunder, a team known for strength and speed as they marked breast cancer awareness with a day of pink and fundraising to contribute to Jo Brant Hospital. The players from both teams opened each game with a ceremony with their moms. Atom head coach Jordan Johnston shaved his head for pledges, parents pledged for each lap of the track they walked before the game and raffles all contributed to the proceeds. The Stampeders appreciate the amazing community support they received for this effort.
