Over the years, Josh has shown why he's amongst the best. He had a successful career with the St. Michael's Kerry Blues and the Toronto Jr. Argos. More recently, the Kerry Blues free safety represented Team Ontario East at the Football Canada Cup in Lethbridge, Alberta this past July.
While the opportunity of playing in the Football Canada Cup may be one of the highlights of Josh's football career, he says there was another special experience in his young football career.
"What sticks out to me the most was my first year starting on St. Mike's in grade 10," explains the Kerry Blues standout. "I'd only been playing for a year, and I never thought I'd be a starter then."
"We ended up going to the Junior Metro Bowl, which was a great experience for someone in their first year of starting."
During his time with the Jr. Argos, Josh was team captain. Furthermore, the free safety attended the Queen's passing camp, where he was defensive back MVP.
Many individuals are credited for being a steady and strong influence in Josh's life.
"My parents because they pushed me to start playing, and all my coaches at St. Mike's," adds the graduating player.
Once he completes high school this spring, Josh would like to continue his education at university. Ultimately, he would like to pursue a degree in mechanical engineering.
The Kerry Blues free safety is well on his way to achieving more feats at the next level and knows what it will take to succeed in football.
"The biggest thing is hard work," says Josh. "I was never extremely naturally gifted, so I had to compensate with a lot of hours in the weight room and on the field."
