Recruiting

Today CFC features class of 2012 running back Vincent Alaire-Tardif of Chicoutimi. Vincent started his football career with the Chicoutimi Mustangs under coach Keven Larivière.

The University of Western Mustangs announced 5 more recruiting commits to their 2011 class; Three receivers, a defensive end and defensive back. Coach Donavan and Bertoia comment on this group of commits:

St. Francis Xavier has started their 2011 recruiting class with a bang. Ottawa Sooner (other teams include Cumberland Panthers, Canterbury Mustangs & St. Patrick's) running back Ashton Dickson has committed to travel east and attend university at St. Francis Xavier. Ashton was a 3-time player of the week in 2010 in the Ontario Football Conference. Both Ashton and Coach Waterman are very happy with the decision and had this to say:

Kalvin Johnson (#21), all-star defensive back from Brampton, Ontario made it official that he is going to attend the University of Western Ontario. Featured in an earlier CFC article, Kalvin was an all star at the 2010 Football Canada Cup. Western head coach Greg Marshall had this to say about the Brampton product:

CFC features class 2012 running back Akeel Lynch of Etobicoke, Ontario. Akeel is part of the star studded 2012 Canadian running back class. Akeel started playing in grade 5 with the North York Grizzlies and Toronto Jr. Argos.

Matthew Norzil, CEGEP AAA top receiver, just informed CFC that he has committed to attending Laval University in 2011. Norzil, who broke CEGEP league records for TD catches (15) and yardage (976), will join Vanier teammates Byron Archambault and Alexandre Lefebvre-Tardif at the Quebec school in 2011.
