Michael Ruberto started playing two years ago and instantly fell in love with it.

In the defensive backā€™s first year he was a starter, which made him love the game even more.

In his second year he made it to the Ontario Varsity Football League (OVFL) with the Oshawa Hawkeyes and gained more experience on the field.

In the offseason, he does strength building and conditioning with my trainer.

This year, Michael has high hopes when it comes to the Ontario Prospect Challenge (OPC).

ā€œMy goals for the Ontario Prospect Challenge are to make it to the top 100 and then make it to the final game,ā€ said Michael.

Michaelā€™s idol is Michael Oher because people saw the potential in him as a football player and his first coach saw the potential in him, which made him into the player he is today.

Overall, he enjoys the sports for two main reasons.

ā€œI love to play football because I have found my passion for this sport and I can show my skills through the game,ā€ commented the Hawkeyes standout..

Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
