Lucas Ferreira started playing football at the age of eight with the Halton Cowboys of the Ontario Varsity Football League (OVFL).

The offensive lineman has spent the past two years playing for the Burlington Stampeders of the Ontario Football Conference’s (OFC).

Moreover, Ferreira also plays for his high school team, the Notre Dame Fighting Irish in the Halton Secondary Schools Athletic Association (HSSAA).

Ferreira is not a rookie when it comes to the Ontario Prospect Challenge (OPC) as he competed in the junior varsity division in 2014.

“My goals for the OPC are to make the team, listen and learn from the coaches and win,” said Ferreira, who would also love to find his name on the CFC 100 list.

During the offseason the Fighting Irish goes to the gym, as well as attending football camps and combines.

“The reason I love to play football is because I find it extremely fun and it’s something I’m passionate about,” added the offensive lineman.
