Mikel-Ange Desjardins started playing the sport at the age of seven and fell in love with it.

He currently plays at the high school level with the Nicolas-Gatineau Phénix, and considers himself to have been successful lately.

In the offseason, he improves his athletic abilities by training for strength and stamina. He also attends a weekly session at Capital QB to receive specialized training for running backs, quarterbacks and wide receivers.

Mikel-Ange’s goal for the Ontario Prospect Challenge (OPC) is simply to make it to the top.

On the field, his idol is Odell Beckham of the New York Giants because the Phénix thinks Beckham resembles him in many ways, and he finds him to be an amazing player.

“I love playing football because being in a football team feels like a family, a brotherhood, and that feeling you can’t get in every other sport” explained Mikel-Ange.

“Football for me is also a great way to express how I feel out on the field,” added the Phénix.
