RECAP: CFC#5 Wolves sole undefeated squad, CFC#11 Blizzard hands CFC#12 Cactus first loss

Darren Wiltshire racked up eight tackles as CFC#5 Cure-Antoine Labelle Wolves crushed Academie Les Estacades 50-0 in RSEQ Juvenile Division 1 Week 4 action.

As a result of this win and coupled with the CFC#12 Notre Dame Cactus suffering their first loss of the season (see recap below), the Wolves are the lone undefeated team with a 4-0 record.

Jeremie Engelo caught an interception while Marc Daley Casseus and Axel-Etienne Yanibada each recorded sacks.  Casseus also registered 5.5 tackles.

Guillaume Vermette

CFC # 11 SEMINAIRE SAINT FRANCOIS BLIZZARD 24, CFC# 12 NOTRE DAME CACTUS 21:

At College Notre Dame, Guillaume Vermette scored a touchdown and rushed for 202 yards on 28 carries as the visiting CFC#11 Seminaire Saint Francois Blizzard escaped with a 24-21 victory over hosts CFC#12 Notre Dame Cactus.

Antoine Dufour and Julien Desrochers each tallied a major.  Eric Verreault added three PAT’s in the win.

Pivot Felix Hamel completed 10 passes in 17 attempts for 114 yards, a rushing touchdown and two passing touchdowns for the Blizzard.

Jerome Turcotte led the defense with 10 tackles.

For the Cactus, Francois Rocheleau was successful on three conversion attempts.  Bruno Lagace was in beast mode as he amassed 22 tackles.  Andriy Nikulich added 12 tackles in the loss. Daniel Lambert Tetrault recorded a sack.

William Valliere Olivier

CFC#24 SAINT JEAN EUDES CONDORS 29, CFC#31 COLLEGE JEAN EUDES EAGLES 28:

At CEPSUM, William Valliere-Olivier tallied two majors and rushed for 138 yards on 17 carries as CFC #24 Saint Jean Eudes Condors eked out a 29-28 victory over CFC#31 College Jean Eudes Eagles.

Alexandre Belliveau also scored a touchdown and rushed for 131 yards on 27 carries for the Condors.

Dean Dalaroy led the Eagles as he scored three touchdowns and rushed for 198 yards on 28 carries.  Julien Boudreau-Plouffe also tallied a major in the loss.

Charles-Olivier Lavigne completed 20 passes in 31 attempts for 196 passing yards.

Youssef Kaced registered 12 tackles to lead the Eagles defense.  Renaud Stephenne recorded two sacks while Thomas Beeson added a sack.  Benoit Vanier recorded a sack and had 8.5 tackles while Michael Chiappone added eight tackles in the loss.

Christophe Tremblay-Harnois

ROGER COMTOIS PATRIOTES 35, ACADEMIE SAINT-LOUIS ARSENAL 5:

At Academie Saint-Louis, Christophe Tremblay-Harnois scored three touchdowns, rushed for 188 yards on 23 carries as well as completed 11 passes in 18 attempts for 160 passing yards and one passing touchdown as the visiting Roger Comtois Patriotes cruised to a 35-5 win over the hosts Arsenal.

Philippe Lamoureux and Dale Leger each tallied a major for the Patriotes. Leger also added five PAT’s in the victory.

Tommy Tremblay recorded two sacks while Felix Kaine, Nickolas Desjardins-Maheu and Francois-Xavier Beaulieu each added a sack.  Olivier Fortin registered 7.5 tackles and Sebastien Frederick racked up 6.5 tackles.

As for the Arsenal, Pierre Morin amassed 78 yards on three receptions.  Nathan Desbien caught an interception and Louis-Philippe Belanger registered 8.5 tackles to lead the defense. Olivier Boulet added 7.5 tackles.

Harfangs 2

TRIOLET HARFANGS 45, JACQUES ROUSSEAU SPHINX 28:

At Plateau Sylvie Daigle, the Triolet Harfangs defeated Jacques Rousseau Sphinx 45-28.

For the Sphinx, Niasse-Robert Andjo scored two touchdowns and had 99 yards on three receptions.

Guillaume Renaud-Dumoulin completed 22 passes in 30 attempts for 364 yards, a rushing major and two passing touchdowns.

Jonathan Desbois registered 8.5 tackles while Markenley Philippe recorded a sack to lead the Sphinx defense.
