RECAP: Four CFC 50 teams victorious, Vermette on a tear, notable performances by Seveno & Kalenga

Lancelot Rivard tallied a major and rushed for 153 yards on five carries (average of 30.6 yards per carry) as CFC#3 College Notre-Dame Cactus earned a 47-0 victory over Roger Comtois Patriots 47-0 in Week 3 RSEQ Juvenile Division 1 action.

Francois Rocheleau rushed into the end zone for a score and racked up 135 yards on 12 carries.  Sebastien Yeargan scored two touchdowns while Ja’shonte Wright-Mcleish and Max-Antoine Allaire each added a major for the Cactus. Francois Rocheleau added five PAT’s.

On defensive, Andriy Nikulich recorded two sacks and added 7.5 tackles to lead the way.  Simon Yee caught three interceptions while Elion Rushiti added a sack.

With this win, the Cactus remains undefeated with a 3-0 record so far this season.

As for the Patriots, Christophe Harnois-Tremblay amassed 114 rushing yards.  Oliver Fortin and Dominic Levesque-Nadeau each registered seven tackles in the loss.

Cure Antoine Labelle Wolves 2013

CFC#6 CURE ANTOINE LABELLE WOLVES 13, CFC#28 SAINT JEAN EUDES CONDORS 5:

In a battle of two CFC 50 teams, CFC #6 Cure Antoine Labelle Wolves got by hosts CFC #28 Saint Jean Eudes Condors 13-5.

Samuel Makwanda rushed into the end zone for a touchdown score and racked up 169 yards on 23 carries for the Wolves.  Samuel Emilus also scored a touchdown and had 98 yards on three receptions (average of 32.7 yards per reception).

As for the Wolves defense, Laurent Pelletier registered 7.5 tackles while Christopher Jean caught an interception and recorded two sacks in the victory.  Jeremie Engelo caught an interception and Marc-Daley Casseus added a sack.

For the Condors, William Vaillaire-Olivier rushed for 69 yards.

Blizzard 2014 1

CFC#18 SEMINAIRE SAINT FRANCOIS BLIZZARD 57, TRIOLET HARFANGS 7:

At Seminaire Saint Francois, William Vermette was on an offensive tear as he scored five touchdowns (four rushing and five receiving) and rushed for 155 yards on 12 carries as the hosts Blizzard crushed the Triolet Harfangs 57-7.

Glory Muganda, Jacob Salvail and Samuel Grendon also tallied majors for the Blizzard.

Didier Lacombe caught two interceptions and had 5.5 tackles while Sean Side also added 5.5 tackles to lead the Blizzard defense.

CFC#20 COLLEGE JEAN EUDES EAGLES 56, JEAN ROUSSEAU SPHINX 7:

At Jacques Rousseau, Philippe Seveno tallied two majors and rushed for 216 yards on 13 carries as the CFC#20 College Jean-Eudes Condors coasted to a 56-7 win over Jean Rousseau Sphinx.

Dean Dalaroy also rushed into the end zone twice and rushed for 187 yards on 11 carries.  Bruno Provencher, Francois Laramee, Benjamin Detilly and Julien Boudreau-Plouffe each scored a touchdown for the Condors.

Pivot Gabriel Drapeau-Zgoralskoi completed eight passes in 12 attempts for 94 yards and three passing touchdowns.

Youssef Kaced led the Eagles defense as he caught an interception and added 10.5 tackles in the win.  Olivier Bedard caught an interception while Renaud Stephenne and Michael Chiappone each recorded a sack.

As for the Sphinx, Paul-Antoine Ouellette scored a touchdown and had 103 yards on 10 receptions.  Antoine Dansereau-Leclerc amassed 78 yards on four receptions.  Guillaume Renaud Dumoulin completed 11 passes in 21 attempts for 145 yards and a passing touchdown.

On defense, Felix St.Pierre led the way as he registered 10 tackles.  Germain Renaud-Dumoulin caught an interception and added nine tackles while Markenley Philippe and Elijah Bouziane each recorded a sack.

ACADEMIE LES ESTACADES 29, ACADEMIE SAINT LOUIS ARSENAL 9:

At Les Estacades, Alexis Daigneault tallied two majors and rushed for 115 yards on six carries (average of 19.2 yards per carry) as Academie Les Estacades defeated Academie Saint Louis Arsenal 29-9.

Blais Francis also scored for Les Estacades.

Uriel-Emmanuel Kalenga caught an interception and amassed 12.5 tackles to lead Les Estacades defense.  Simon Torres recorded a sack and added 11.5 tackles in the victory.  Jeremy Berube caught two interceptions while Hugo Larue added one interception.  Lucas Iaonne and Jordan Falardeau recorded two sacks while Lucas Iaonne added one.

Timothie Gros-Louis tallied the lone major for the Arsenal.  Olivier Bamrounsavath completed 16 passes in 28 attempts for 158 yards and a passing touchdown. Marin Beauchesne caught an interception while Louis-Philippe Belanger and Jean-Rapahel Ouellet each recorded a sack in the loss.
