Rouge et Or land Trois-Rivieres recruit

Trois-Rivieres defensive end joins RSEQ team’s 2015 class.

Marc-Oliver Simard is the newest Laval Rouge et Or.

Last week, the defensive back (cornerback) from Trois-Rivieres, Quebec committed to the Vanier Cup Champions for the 2015 RSEQ season.

The Montreal Carabins and Sherbrooke Vert et Or expressed interest in Simard.  He did take in an official visit with the Carabins; however, he decided upon the Rouge et Or just before the Thanksgiving long weekend.

Currently, Simard is completing his third and final season with CEGEP Division 1 team, College Notre Dame de Foy (CNDF).  During his time with CNDF, the defensive back trained with Pascal Masson who played in the CFL for both the Montreal Alouettes and Calgary Stampeders.  Masson previously suited up for the Rouge et Or as well.

In addition to CNDF, the Quebec defensive standout played for his high school team, Seminaire Saint Joseph Vert et Or.
