Syracuse offers Class 2017 prospect (VIDEO)

Its now up to sixteen offers and counting for Jonathan Sutherland.

While his teammates CFC#1 Patrice Rene and #CFC100 Jesse Meyler were inking their Letter of Intents on NCAA National Signing Day yesterday, news came that the 6’0, 193 pound cornerback from Ottawa, Ontario received his latest Division 1 offer.  It came courtesy of Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) team, Syracuse Orange:

Among the other offers Sutherland has received during his recruitment process include Temple Owls, Vanderbilt Commodores, Virginia Cavaliers, Wisconsin Badgers, Boston College Eagles, East Carolina Pirates, North Carolina Tar Heels, Miami Hurricanes, Nebraska Cornhuskers, Rutgers Scarlet Knights, Appalachian State Mountaineers, Iowa State Cyclones, Maryland Terrapins, Pittsburgh Panthers and Wake Forest Demon Deacons.

Sutherland is currently playing south of the border for the Episcopal Maroon in Alexandra, Virginia.

He has previously suited up for the Cumberland Panthers of the Ontario Varsity Football League (OVFL) and North Gloucester Giants of the National Capital Amateur Football Association (NCAFA).

He trains with Victor Tedondo at Gridiron Academy in Ottawa, Ontario.
