Bertoia, Underhill, & Brown named to Team Ontario under-18 staff

The Ontario Football Alliance is pleased to announce that Chris Bertioa, Rob Underhill, and Bill Brown will all be returning to the 2014 Team Ontario Coaching Staff.

Chris Bertioa – Offensive Coordinator

Chris Bertoia is currently the Recruiting Coordinator and Offensive Line coach for the Western Mustangs.Ā In 2012, Bertoia was the OVFL Coach of the Year as head coach of the London Jr. Mustangs that went undefeated, winning the OVFL Championship in the teamā€™s inaugural season.Ā Ā Bertoia was the offensive line coach for Team Ontario West in 2010 and was the offensive coordinator in 2012 for Ontario West and Team Ontario for 2013.Ā Ā Bertoiaā€™s tireless work ethic and dedication to his players and preparation are invaluable assets to this yearā€™s offense.

Rob Underhill – Defensive Coordinator

Rob Underhill is currently the Defensive Backs coach for the Toronto Varsity Blues.Ā Ā Underhill has been the Head Coach of Team Ontario, leading the team to two bronze medals during his tenure.Ā  Underhill was the Head Coach & Defensive Coordinator for the OVFL Hamilton Ironmen, building them into a perennial top ranked team that was known for its tough defense. In 2013, Underhill made the move to Head Coach and Defensive Coordinator of the Hamilton Hurricanes of the OFC, leading them to an Undefeted Championship season.Ā Underhill is a valuable component of this coaching staff with his wealth of experience and leadership at the Canada Cup.

Bill Brown – Special Teams Coordinator

Bill Brown is currently the Special Forces Coordinator and Director of Recruiting & Football Development for the Guelph Gryphons.Ā Ā The Gryphons had a breakout year in 2012, making it to the Yates Cup for the first time since 2007, and once again a strong 2013 season finishing the year 7-1.Ā Ā Brown has coached the special teams for Ontario West since 2010 and is poised for a successful 2014 campaign.Ā Ā Brownā€™s game planning and ability to motivate his players are key attributes sure to bolster a successful special teams squad in 2014.
