X-Men land Calgary recruit (VIDEO)

Calgary linebacker joins AUS team’s 2015 class.

Ben von Muehldorfer is leaving the Prairies to commence his CIS career.

The 6’0, 200 pound linebacker from Calgary, Alberta has signed with the StFX X-Men.Β  von Muehldorfer will join the team for the 2015 AUS season.

Ultimately, there were several reasons why the defensive standout chose the Antigonish, Nova Scotia campus.

β€œI chose StFX because I liked the small school feel and the strong alumni connection,” explained von Muehldorfer of his commitment.Β  β€œAntigonish is a great university town and the whole town come out to the football games and that creates an awesome atmosphere.”

β€œAlso Coach [Gary] Waterman is a very smart and friendly coach. He has great relationships with his players. That was a big thing I was looking for in coaches. The StFX football team is on the rise we have a lot of talent on the team as well as many good recruits coming in.”
