The Longueuil, QC native is ranked 12th on the CFC100 Class of 2023 Rankings, and began his high school career playing at CFC50 Charles-Lemoyne. Roy decided to take his talents down south to play at Rabun Gap-Nacoochee High School in Georgia, where he completed his final two years of eligibility and received interest from NCAA schools.

The 6’4″, 230lbs defensive end earned offers from Fordham, Georgia Southern, Louisiana, UAB, and Troy, but Canadian friendly Buffalo were able to convince him to stick close to the border for his collegiate career. Buffalo is currently home to fellow CFC100 OL Gabe Wallace and K/P Anthony Venneri, plus they recently sent CFC100 WR Dominic Johnson to the 2021 CFL Draft where he was selected 32nd overall by the Edmonton Elks.
