The Ottawa, ON native is ranked 23rd on the CFC100 Class of 2023 Final Edition, and began his football career playing locally for the Ottawa Sooners and Kanata Knights. He ended up getting the chance to move down south to play for Phillips Exeter in New Hampshire, and took full advantage of the opportunity with a bunch of interest from NCAA programs.

The 6’6″, 270lbs offensive tackle ended up with offers from UMass, Eastern Michigan, Western Michigan, Kent State, Alabama A&M, Jackson State, Northern Iowa, South Dakota State, Southeast Missouri and Southern Illinois. Ajongo originally committed to UMass during the summer, but decided to switch his commitment to Wake Forest after receiving an offer in December.

Ajongo is the first Canadian to commit to Wake Forest straight out of high school since CFC began tracking data back in 2010, but will be following in the footsteps of fellow Ottawa native Minnesota Vikings CFC100 DE Luiji Vilain, who finished his NCAA career with the Demon Deacons after transferring from Michigan.
