CFC100 Class 2023 DL Devan Houstan made it official with Notre Dame on NCAA National Signing Day.

The Mississauga, ON native is the second ranked prospect on the CFC100 Class of 2023 Rankings, and began his high school career at St. Marcellinus. Houstan eventually made the decision to head south to play at St. James School in Maryland where his recruiting journey really took off.
The 6’5″, 285lbs defensive linemen attracted 19 offers including Michigan, Penn State and Tennessee, but couldn’t resist the allure of South Bend where he will follow in the footsteps of CFC100 WR Chase Claypool, who was selected 49th overall by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the 2020 NFL Draft after a dominant collegiate career with Notre Dame., and now plays for the Chicago Bears.
Houstan will be joined on campus by CFC100 Class 2023 DL Armel Mukam, who also signed with Notre Dame on National Signing Day. The two Canadians could become an elite force flying off the edge as the Fighting Irish look to return to the National Championship under the guidance of Head Coach Marcus Freeman.
