CFC100 Class 2023 DL Armel Mukam made it official with Notre Dame on NCAA National Signing Day.

The La Prairie, QC native is the third ranked prospect on the CFC100 Class of 2023 Rankings, and began his high school career at Ecole Secondaire La Magdeleine. Mukam made the decision toΒ head south to play at Woodberry Forest Academy in Virginia two years ago, where he was able to attract the attention of NCAA scouts.
The 6’4″, 255lbs defensive end earned 22 offers including Syracuse, Virginia Tech and North Carolina, but in the end he couldn’t pass up on the prestige of Notre Dame. Mukam will be hoping to follow the same path as CFC100 WR Chase Claypool, who was selected 49th overall by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the 2020 NFL Draft after a dominant collegiate career with Notre Dame, and now plays for the Chicago Bears.
Mukam will be joined on campus by CFC100 Class 2023 DL Devan Houstan, who also signed with Notre Dame on National Signing Day. The two Canadians could become an elite force flying off the edge as the Fighting Irish look to return to the National Championship under the guidance of Head Coach Marcus Freeman.
