The Tilbury native is ranked 66th on the CFC100 Class of 2023 Rankings, and began his career playing community ball with the Essex Ravens and at École Secondaire L’Essor before heading south to complete his eligibility at Clearwater Academy in Florida.
The 6’0″, 215lbs linebacker attended a ton of camps but was a later bloomer on the recruiting trail attracting offers from South Dakota in October followed by Wofford in November, and then finally Long Island jumped on the scene with an offer in early December. Simpson is the first Canadian to sign with Long Island on National Signing Day since CFC began tracking every NCAA commitment back in 2010.
Simpson first jumped on the radar at CFC before he hit high school with a standout MVP performance as an underclassman at the Ontario FPC Showcase in 2018.
