Minneapolis pivot commits to CWUAA team.
The Manitoba Bisons keep on etching school recruiting history with their 2015 class.
Recently, the Hardy Cup Champions announced that Billy Hart has signed with the team.
The 5’11 190 pound pivot from Minneapolis, Minnesota capped off his high school career with De La Salle Islanders as he led the team to an appearance in the State Championship. This past season, he completed 203 passes in 303 attempts for 2971 passing yards (67 percent completion rate) and 42 passing touchdowns. Additionally, Hart amassed 944 rushing yards on 122 rushes and 13 rushing touchdowns.
In 2014, Hart was selected as a 2014 All-State Second Team.
With his signing, Hart makes Bisons history in becoming the first ever United States recruit to join the football program.
Ultimately, the Bisons are thrilled to welcome a player of Hart’s caliber into the fold.
“We think Billy is a terrific passer but also a tremendous athlete; he is a serious threat both on the ground and in the air,” commented Bisons Recruiting Coordinator and Running Backs Coach Chris Clements. “These skills will help him transition to the Canadian game.”
“His impressive statistics and his team’s success are a testament to his talent.”
