“Interning for was a fantastic opportunity in my young career in sports journalism. It helped me set a solid foundation and hone my writing and on camera reporting skills, which are essential in this business. The excellent set up and organization of the whole site was easy to work with and the people were even better, making it a near effortless joy to conduct my work for them. Covering all things from high school bowl games to local football controversies and NCAA exports, all the tasks I performed for CFC definitely helped set me on my way in this exciting industry.” – Ryan Drury, News Correspondent, CKNX News

“ was the first job I ever had that directly related to my chosen field of journalism. Not only did I get to hone my writing skills, it also gave me an inside look into my favourite sport. It has been gratifying to see some of the players I interviewed further their football careers to the university and professional level, and the job helped me kickstart my own career as a working journalist.” – Madison Farkas, Calgary Journal/Best Version Media

Writing for was an excellent introduction to sports journalism. CFC offered me both the freedom of expression and professional structure to succeed in the sports media industry. I made connections with amazing people within Canada’s ever growing football community and would recommend any aspiring sports writer to get involved with CFC. – Hannah McGregor, Graphics Specialist, Sportsnet (Rogers Communications)
