Fox 40 Prospect Challenge (West Coast): “football is the greatest sport there is” says Glenn

My football experience has been amazing, in my opinion it’s the greatest sport there is,” says athlete, Lucas Glenn.

Having already played for four and a half years, Glenn is hooked. He currently plays for the Lord Tweedsmuir Panthers at wide receiver, running back, free safety, and linebacker. He registered 250 receiving yards to go along with 6 touchdowns, 100 rushing yards and 2 rushing touchdowns, 1 interception, 4 forced fumbles, and 1 fumble for recovery for a touchdown for the regular season and 3 interceptions in the BC football game playing with players a year older in Kamloops in 2015.

This 5’7, 151lbs athlete wants to make the tryouts for CFCFPC and come back for the following phases. “I love football because I enjoy the contact and competitiveness that all the other sports don’t have and I really enjoy watching and learning about football,” he says.

With this in mind, Glenn goes to Game Ready every Monday and Wednesday for an hour to lift and then does an hour of running class. On Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, he works out in the gym in his home. If that wasn’t enough, he sometimes goes out and plays football on Saturdays for fun with his teammates.

Who has time for much more then that? Glenn, however, isn’t just leaving it up to himself to stay motivated. He looks to Detroit Lions receiver, Calvin Johnson, or Kansas City Chiefs safety, Eric Berry for motivation and inspiration.
