Falcons vs. Broncos
Result: Falcons 41 β Broncos 18
The Calgary Falcons offence continued to show off itβs strengths in this game. QB Chris Merchant was forced to sit out the first half of play for reasons unknown but when he returned for the second half the Falcons got back to the way things have been this season.
Merchant threw for three touchdowns and ran one in himself in just one half of play. WR Nolan OβReilly and WR Aaron Gruending each had two touchdown catches on the night for the Falcons. The Stampeders continued to be led by the play of QB Dante Djan and RB Justin Keys. Djan had his best performance of the season so far, throwing for four touchdowns and running for one of his own. This was a closer game then the score shows. Up until the fourth quarter the game was a defensive struggle, in which the Wildcats defence played admirably led by the play of DB Ryan Baker. For the Hilltoppers RB Tyler Chow came up big with two touchdowns. WR Spencer Janke had a big game as well. He had one touchdown reception, as well as recovering his own punt in the forth quarter.
