CANADIAN JUNIOR FOOTBALL LEAGUE MAJOR AWARD WINNERS

 

Langley, BC: The Canadian Junior Football League (CJFL) is proud to announce their Major Award winners for the 2012 season.Ā  The awards were handed our Friday night at the Jostens Banquet of Champions in Langley, BC.

 

The award winners are:

 

Gord Currie Coach of the Year
John Vouvalidis ā€“ London Beefeaters ā€“ London finished 7-1 and won the Ontario Football Conference crown for the first time in franchise history.

Rookie of the Year
Jordan Samoil ā€“ Edmonton Wildcats – 163 carries*, 1340 yards, 13 touchdowns

Peter Dalla Riva Outstanding Offensive Player
Jordan Yantz ā€“ Vancouver Island Raiders – 175 completions*, 3243 yards*, 33 touchdowns*

Larry Wruck Outstanding Defensive Player
Wilguens Deriveaux ā€“ St. Leonard Cougars – 19 tackles, 15 sacks*, 2 blocks, 2 forced fumbles, 1 fumble recovery, 1 interception
