CJFL: BCFC “BC Lions Players of the Week” 7

The British Columbia Football Conference is pleased to announce their “BC Lions Players of the Week” for Week 7.

Just another day at the office for Vancouver Island Raiders’ quarterback Jordan Yantz.  In a first place showdown with Langley, the veteran QB was named the “BC Lions Offensive Player of the Week” finishing 19 of 30 for 370 yards and threw four TD passes.  He would also carry the ball three times for 12 yards.  It’s the second time this season Yantz has been named to this award.

On the defensive side of the ball a rookie was the best in the Conference.  Okanagan Sun linebacker Sheldon MacDonald made a tackle, a special teams tackle, recorded two assists and his first career pick six, returning a interception 63 yards for a major.  He is the “BC Lions Defensive Player of the Week.” MacDonald is a wonderful story, playing in his first year of football.

Also from the Game of the Week in Langley comes the “BC Lions Special Teams Player of the Week.”  Returner Aaron Gordonfrom the Vancouver Island Raiders returned a kick-off 100 yards for a touchdown.  Its Gordon’s first honour this season.

Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
