NCAFA (Ottawa): 1/2 final recap – Willy-Pierre Dimbongi accounts for 4 TDs in win

TYKE

Tyrese Macrillo-Guerrier and Max Thomson had huge blocks in Myers’ win over The Generals.  Matteo Milito and Massimo Toscano were defensive standouts.

Panthers remain undefeated heading into this weekend’s championships! Fabrice Markendi had two TD’s, Wesley Bailey had a 50 yard catch and run from Logan Ferry with 3 minutes left in the game.  Bell’s Kyle Crabtree, Josh Foster and Logan Statham led the defense. Jacob Papalia had another standout game.

Moving to the O-Line, Bel Air’s Logan Carty led the way for Shawn Lukusa, Bryce Russell and William Lemus-Coto. Bryson Mulready and Stephane Tshishimbi were outstanding on defense.

MOSQUITO

Myers Riders defense had a big game vs. Orleans.  Riders’ Avery Clayton, Sheldon Brunett and Mitchell Lawson each had TD’s.  Quasim Saquid kicked a 2 point convert.

Cumerland’s Willy-Pierre Dimbongi had 3 TD’s running, and threw another to Farhan Yonus.   Matthieu Franche and Alex Lawrie connected on 2 TD’s.  Olivier Papillon and Pierre Robert each had 7 tackles.

Bel Air’s Jeremy Desjardins cleared a path for JP Cimankinda on several TD’s.  Eugene Kanku and Alex Joanisse were in on many tackles.

PEE WEE

Joe Donnelly and Joe Trick led the Riders’ passing and running games while Michelli and Jordan Quesnel were huge on defense.  Malik Sauve-Mohammed and Daniel Turenne sealed the game with a rouge.

The Warriors head into the A-Cup final undefeated after their win over Cornwall.

BANTAM

Myers Riders got TD’s from Eden Mansour (fumble recovery), Enzo Trunzo, Costa Jones, Max Chainey, Josh Colley and Andy Guest.  Eden Mansour and Jahlen Ritchie had interceptions.  Robinson Jean-Charles, William Vail and Mike Walsh had big games for the Warriors.

Bel Air’s Bets Joseph and Greg Hirsh had big running games, while Elias Castillo and Andrew Sneddon also impressed.  Anchoring the defense were Paul Lukusa, Newton Watson, and Evan Smith.

Hadi Besmar, Matty Wilson-Damiano and Dimitri Vaillancourt each scored for the Gloucester South Raiders.  Vincent Le recovered a short kick, Anthony Iafelice recovered a fumble.  The Raiders have a chance to win their first ever Bantam A-cup Championship this Sunday at 3:15pm.

CHAMPIONSHIP WEEKEND
NCAFA championships are this week at beautiful Mont Bleu field in Gatineau next to Ecole Secondaire Mont-Bleu.   Action began Wednesday with games scheduled tonight (Midget final: defending champion Nepean Redskins vs. Orleans at 7pm), tomorrow and Sunday beginning at 9am.  Complete schedule and information at www.NCAFA.ca
