NCAFA (Ottawa): Weekly recap – Knights midget eliminate Norsemen from playoffs

TYKE

Wolverines’ Dylan Crooks had a TDD off a 60 yard kick off return and a 40 yard rushing TD.  On defense, Hugh Russell (10 tackles), Mike Lightbody (6 tackles) and Aaron McArdle (8 tackles, 1 interception) lead the way.  Tristan Ready’s 20 yard punt resulted in the OT win.

Panthers finish regular season play undefeated.  Fabrice Makendi (3 TD’s), Devon Canning (INT for TD) and Brandon Deslaurier were standouts.

Christopher Jelly had 4 TD’s for Myers.  Michael Roy recovered a fumble.  Huge tackles from Anas Faid and Logan McGrath.

MOSQUITO

West Carleton’s Dave Morton (20 yrd TD catch), Draeven McGowan (50+ yards rushing and TD) and Evan Murray (45 yrd catch/run) helped win a close one.  Hayden Tripp had a sack and 12 tackles!

The Giants were 2 for 2 this week.  Ashton Johnny had 15 tackles, Iam Sutherland had 10, Enoc Enyeka had an interception in their first game.  Later in the week, Ian White found the end zone twice, and Kian Wiiliams added another.

Myers’ Cameron Wyers scored 4 TDs, Mitchell Lawson added 2 more, and Qasim Sadiq kicked a field goal.

Just like their Tyke team, The Mosquito Panthers end the regular season undefeated!  Willy-Pierre Dimbongi had 4 TD’s, Bryson Michel and Alex Lawrie each had one.  Olivier Papillon made 2 TD saving tackles in the second half.

PEE WEE

Davion McDonald scored on a pass from Jonathan Sutherland while Ralim Brooks added a safety in the Giants’ one point victory over Cornwall.

Cumberland’s Shubbham Nayyaar added two interceptions to his multiple tackles.  Zak Boudreau connected with Daymon Williams on a huge drive, Alain Deller had a big game rushing.

Brian Franklin and Joe Trick were the offensive standouts for Myers, while first year players Donovan McLean and Daniel Turenee were solid on defense.

BANTAM

Lascelles Lawrence(2), Hadi Besmar(2), Wilson-Damianao, Deion Banze (pass from Justin Poitras) and Mike Bolzanello found the end zone for Gloucester South.  Jacob Pierscianowski, Dimitri Vaillancourt and Terry Lormil had interceptions. Mathieu Lussier recovered a fumble.

Costa Jones rushed for the game’s lone TD and Ty Elliott added a field goal for Myers Riders.  Kyrique Fletcher also had a strong game.

Bell Warriors’ Tyler Scott had over 200 yards passing and 4 TD’s. Nate Eisener (1 rushing TD, 2 receiving TD’s), Kyle Sheahan (1) and Nate McCausland (1) also scored.  Wyatt Parsons (INT) and Filip Buljan (2 sacks) dominated on defense.
