Team Ontario (East & West) make final decisions after competitive camp (rosters)

This past Sunday in Hamilton over 140 players convened at McMaster University for the final selection camp for Team Ontario West & Team Ontario East – chosen to represent Ontario at this years 17th annual Football Canada Cup (U-18).

The West offense will be lead by QB Will Finch (Burlington) and the defense by LB Drew Walden (Cambridge). The East decided on the three-headed monster at QB with Gorgichuk (Ottawa), Lurie (Ottawa), and Gnjidic (Toronto) named to the squad. The East has the only players with tournament experience with Bradley Hinton (Ottawa), Jamahll Charles (Ottawa), Shayne Cowan-Cholette (Ottawa), and Danny Vandervoort (Barrie). Ontario Football Alliance Executive Director Tina Turner had this to say about the two teams:

“We have two very competitive teams this year. It was a difficult process for the coaching staffs to narrow it down to 40 players per team. We are excited about the level of talent that these teams possess. I think we have a great shot at both teams bringing home a medal!”
